Dear EastBaySocial Business Account Holders,
I hope everyone is doing well. We wanted to provide you guys with an important update on the network.
Last week, Ken launched the Messaging and Notification system for the network (in case you didn't know already, Ken is our Co-Founder who has programmed the entire EastBaySocial network website).
Okay, so here is the scoop on Notifications:
When Do Residents Get Notifications?
1. When a business account holder (like you) creates an Event, Offer or Blog, your Passholders now receive an email notification. The email contains a link to your event, offer or blog.
2. When a Resident receives a Note from a Friend.
When Do Businesses Get Notifications?
1. When you get a new Passholder. If you don't have any Passholders yet, then it's time to let your customers know about EastBaySocial.
2. When a another business "Recommends" your business. If you like that business, repay the favor by hitting the "Refer" button on their site as well. Now, you'll be cross-marketing each other.
3. When someone sends you a Note. You'll notice a new link on the homepage of YOUR site that says, "Send Us a Note". Now Residents can communicate with you (don't worry, all Notes are private). You can send Notes to other businesses as well.
Some of you may have already received some notifications. If you haven't, check your junk email folder and make sure to allow email from "support 2008@passbox.com" (this is the email address we send the notifications from).
There still might be a bug or two on the network. If you find one, let us know or comment below. We appreciate your patience!
